PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDS

On or about December 28, 2018 City of Shannon Hills Government intends to apply for a grant from the Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Grant Program through the Arkansas Department of Natural Resources and FEMA. These funds are to be used for a Flood Mitigation Project for acquisition/demolition of five (5) flood-prone properties.

Information related to this project will be available for review prior to December 28, 2018 at the offices of Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc., 902 N. Center Street, Lonoke, AR 72086 between the hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm. Public participation is an important part of Saline County’s flood mitigation planning process and citizens of Saline County are encouraged to submit comments and questions.

Written comments and questions should be submitted to Tanya Childers, the City of Sherwood’s Authorized Agent at PO Box 300, Lonoke, AR 72086 no later than December 28, 2018 in order to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public notice process.
