CAPDD Leverages Resources to Assist with Economic and Community Development Goals

On September 26, 2019, the Central Arkansas Planning and Development District (CAPDD), serving the communities of Faulkner, Lonoke, Monroe, Prairie, Pulaski, and Saline counties, held it’s Annual Membership Training at the Ben E. Keith Food Distribution Facility in North Little Rock.

The meeting provided a broad overview of resources available from Federal and State programs to the Municipal and County Government members.

Representatives from the Delta Regional Authority, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Arkansas Economic Development Institute, Economic Development Administration, Arkansas Economic Development Commission, Arkansas Department of Rural Services, Arkansas Development Finance Authority, Arkansas Natural Resource Commission, Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, and the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program provided a brief presentation explaining how their agency’s programs could assist with achieving economic and community development goals.

As a result, members have a good understanding of how the CAPDD leverages resources to help fund projects in the serving area.
